PH Fitness Skitrainer – Air Resistance Ski Machine for HIIT, CrossFit & Hyrox | Freestanding or Wall Mount

The PH Fitness Skitrainer comes in two variants – same machine, same flywheel, same air resistance, same workout. The only difference is how you set it up.

Choose the freestanding version with a base plate if you want to be able to move the machine or don't have a fixed training space. Choose the wall-mounted version if you have a fixed training space and want to utilize every inch of floor space.

Both variants are available below via the product options.

Progressive Air Resistance — automatic, continuous, without buttons

The PH Fitness Skitrainer works like a professional ski erg: the harder and faster you pull, the heavier the resistance becomes. The flywheel responds directly and continuously to your effort — no buttons, no settings, no interruption. Each pull is automatically calibrated to your output, making the machine equally suitable for a calm, controlled warm-up as for a maximum Hyrox interval.

This is air resistance in its purest form. The only thing that determines the intensity of your workout is you.

Full Body Training — everything at once, without joint strain

The vertical double-pull movement simultaneously activates arms and shoulders, upper and lower back, core and abdominal muscles, glutes and hamstrings, and hips and legs. One movement. The entire body. This is why the skitrainer has a permanent place in professional CrossFit boxes and Hyrox facilities: it is one of the few cardio machines that trains strength, explosiveness, and endurance simultaneously in a low-impact movement.

HIIT, CrossFit and Hyrox — built for intervals

The automatic air resistance makes the PH Fitness Skitrainer ideally suited for short, explosive intervals. Maximum output in 20 seconds, full recovery, repeat. The resistance adjusts every second — you don't need to set anything between sets. That's exactly the training structure Hyrox athletes need for their ski erg splits, and what CrossFitters use in metcon WODs.

Choose your variant

Freestanding with base plate — for maximum flexibility

The freestanding version stands on a sturdy non-slip base plate that provides stability during the heaviest workouts and protects your floor. The machine is easy to move — ideal if you train in a shared space, want to put the machine away after use, or simply don't want to drill holes in the wall. Assembly time is 20 to 30 minutes.

Choose the freestanding version if you value flexibility of setup over a fixed installation.

Wall mount — for maximum floor space

The wall-mounted version has no base plate or stand. With the included mounting hardware, you can fix the machine to the wall in 20 to 30 minutes — concrete, brick, or a wooden wall structure with sufficient load-bearing capacity. The floor underneath remains completely clear. The machine feels like a permanent part of your training space, just as it would in a CrossFit box or Hyrox studio.

Choose the wall-mounted version if you have a fixed training space and want to utilize every inch of floor space.

Both variants have identical training performance. The flywheel, air resistance, cables, handles, and LCD display are the same on both versions.

Ergonomics and user comfort

The cable height is adjustable so that both smaller and taller users train at the optimal pulling angle. The ergonomic non-slip handles provide a stable, sweat-proof grip throughout the entire workout. The smooth cable drive ensures a fluid, shock-free movement that prevents injuries and allows for long sessions.

LCD display — track every workout in real-time

The built-in LCD display shows training time, distance covered, calorie consumption, pulls per minute, total number of pulls, and training intensity. With real-time data, you train more purposefully, track progress, and work faster towards measurable goals.

Who is the PH Fitness Skitrainer for?

For home athletes looking for an effective full-body cardio workout without joint strain. For CrossFitters and Hyrox athletes who want to improve their ski erg splits at home with a permanent or movable setup. For personal trainers who guide clients and are looking for a versatile, compact cardio machine. For anyone who trains seriously and wants a machine that grows with every intensity.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Are the two variants identical in terms of training?
Yes. The flywheel, air resistance, cables, handles, and LCD display are completely identical on both variants. The only difference is the mounting method — freestanding on a base plate, or fixed to the wall.
• Is the machine suitable for Hyrox training?
Yes. The skitrainer simulates the double pole movement also used in the Hyrox ski erg discipline. The automatic air resistance allows for interval training at maximum intensity, directly applicable for Hyrox preparation.
• Can I later use the wall-mount version as freestanding?
No — the wall-mount version is designed for fixed wall installation and does not have a base plate. If you want to be able to move it later, choose the freestanding version.
• Which walls are suitable for wall mounting?
Mounting works on concrete, brick, and wooden wall structures with sufficient load-bearing capacity. If in doubt about your wall's load-bearing capacity, we recommend consulting a professional for installation.
• Is the machine suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. The automatic air resistance is inherently accessible — you start calmly and the resistance grows with your effort. No settings are needed to start.
