PH Fitness Skitrainer – Air Resistance Ski Machine for HIIT, CrossFit & Hyrox | Freestanding or Wall Mount

The PH Fitness Skitrainer comes in two variants – same machine, same flywheel, same air resistance, same workout. The only difference is how you set it up.

Choose the freestanding version with a base plate if you want to be able to move the machine or don't have a fixed training space. Choose the wall-mounted version if you have a fixed training space and want to utilize every inch of floor space.

Both variants are available below via the product options.

Progressive Air Resistance — automatic, continuous, without buttons

The PH Fitness Skitrainer works like a professional ski erg: the harder and faster you pull, the heavier the resistance becomes. The flywheel responds directly and continuously to your effort — no buttons, no settings, no interruption. Each pull is automatically calibrated to your output, making the machine equally suitable for a calm, controlled warm-up as for a maximum Hyrox interval.

This is air resistance in its purest form. The only thing that determines the intensity of your workout is you.

Full Body Training — everything at once, without joint strain

The vertical double-pull movement simultaneously activates arms and shoulders, upper and lower back, core and abdominal muscles, glutes and hamstrings, and hips and legs. One movement. The entire body. This is why the skitrainer has a permanent place in professional CrossFit boxes and Hyrox facilities: it is one of the few cardio machines that trains strength, explosiveness, and endurance simultaneously in a low-impact movement.

HIIT, CrossFit and Hyrox — built for intervals

The automatic air resistance makes the PH Fitness Skitrainer ideally suited for short, explosive intervals. Maximum output in 20 seconds, full recovery, repeat. The resistance adjusts every second — you don't need to set anything between sets. That's exactly the training structure Hyrox athletes need for their ski erg splits, and what CrossFitters use in metcon WODs.

Choose your variant

Freestanding with base plate — for maximum flexibility

The freestanding version stands on a sturdy non-slip base plate that provides stability during the heaviest workouts and protects your floor. The machine is easy to move — ideal if you train in a shared space, want to put the machine away after use, or simply don't want to drill holes in the wall. Assembly time is 20 to 30 minutes.

Choose the freestanding version if you value flexibility of setup over a fixed installation.

Wall mount — for maximum floor space

The wall-mounted version has no base plate or stand. With the included mounting hardware, you can fix the machine to the wall in 20 to 30 minutes — concrete, brick, or a wooden wall structure with sufficient load-bearing capacity. The floor underneath remains completely clear. The machine feels like a permanent part of your training space, just as it would in a CrossFit box or Hyrox studio.

Choose the wall-mounted version if you have a fixed training space and want to utilize every inch of floor space.

Both variants have identical training performance. The flywheel, air resistance, cables, handles, and LCD display are the same on both versions.

Ergonomics and user comfort

The cable height is adjustable so that both smaller and taller users train at the optimal pulling angle. The ergonomic non-slip handles provide a stable, sweat-proof grip throughout the entire workout. The smooth cable drive ensures a fluid, shock-free movement that prevents injuries and allows for long sessions.

LCD display — track every workout in real-time

The built-in LCD display shows training time, distance covered, calorie consumption, pulls per minute, total number of pulls, and training intensity. With real-time data, you train more purposefully, track progress, and work faster towards measurable goals.

Who is the PH Fitness Skitrainer for?

For home athletes looking for an effective full-body cardio workout without joint strain. For CrossFitters and Hyrox athletes who want to improve their ski erg splits at home with a permanent or movable setup. For personal trainers who guide clients and are looking for a versatile, compact cardio machine. For anyone who trains seriously and wants a machine that grows with every intensity.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Are the two variants identical in terms of training?
Yes. The flywheel, air resistance, cables, handles, and LCD display are completely identical on both variants. The only difference is the mounting method — freestanding on a base plate, or fixed to the wall.
• Is the machine suitable for Hyrox training?
Yes. The skitrainer simulates the double pole movement also used in the Hyrox ski erg discipline. The automatic air resistance allows for interval training at maximum intensity, directly applicable for Hyrox preparation.
• Can I later use the wall-mount version as freestanding?
No — the wall-mount version is designed for fixed wall installation and does not have a base plate. If you want to be able to move it later, choose the freestanding version.
• Which walls are suitable for wall mounting?
Mounting works on concrete, brick, and wooden wall structures with sufficient load-bearing capacity. If in doubt about your wall's load-bearing capacity, we recommend consulting a professional for installation.
• Is the machine suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. The automatic air resistance is inherently accessible — you start calmly and the resistance grows with your effort. No settings are needed to start.

The Complete Home Gym in One Station — PH Fitness All-in-One Strength Station with Smith Machine, Pec Deck & Dual Cable System

Imagine: one training space. One piece of equipment. Yet the ability to squat with 200 kg, perform full chest isolation on the pec deck, do lat pulldowns, leg presses, hang pull-ups, and cable curls — without moving an inch.

That's the PH Fitness All-in-One Strength Station. No rows of separate machines. No compromise on what you want to train. No second mortgage for Force USA prices. Just a complete strength station that offers everything a gym does, in 120 × 136 × 215 cm.

Smith Machine with Linear Bearings — Train Heavy Without a Spotter

The Smith machine on this station uses a linear bearing system: the barbell moves smoothly and frictionlessly along the guide rails, with safety hooks at every height along the columns. You perform squats, bench presses, shoulder presses, lunges, hip thrusts, and Romanian deadlifts with full control — without needing a training partner.

The maximum load capacity is 300 kg. For home use, this is a ceiling that most athletes will never reach — meaning this station will grow with you, regardless of your strength level.

Pec Deck and Butterfly — Real Chest Training You Won't Find Elsewhere at Home

This is the feature that makes this station unique in the home gym market. The integrated pec deck with a dual arm construction allows for butterfly, reverse fly, and unilateral chest work — directly linked to the cable system for even resistance throughout the full range of motion.

Most strength stations in this price range do not have a pec deck. Those who want full chest isolation buy a separate device or use dumbbells as an alternative. With this station, you get the real movement, the real muscle activation, and no more excuses to skip chest isolation.

Dual Cable System — 160kg (2x80 kg), Independent and 180° Swivel

Two completely independent weight stacks totaling 160 kg not only give you more total resistance than most home gym cable systems — they also give you the ability to train unilaterally. Load the left and right sides completely separately, for targeted strength building and correction of imbalances between dominant and non-dominant sides.

The 180° swiveling pulley heads enable cable angles that are unattainable with a fixed pulley: low cable flies, high cable curls, diagonal rotational exercises, functional movements. The full spectrum of cable training is included in this one station.

The weight stacks can be expanded with additional weight plates from PH Fitness. As you get stronger, the station grows with you.

Integrated Leg Press — Heavy Leg Work Without an Extra Machine

An anti-slip leg press footplate is integrated via the Smith machine, allowing for controlled leg press repetitions directly at the station. No separate leg press machine needed. No extra floor space. Just heavy leg training, built into the same frame.

Lat Pulldown, Low Row, Pull-up Bar and Dip Station

The upper deflection roller provides access to lat pulldowns, straight-arm pulldowns, and high cable exercises for back and shoulders. The lower deflection roller covers seated rows, low cable flies, and functional low cable exercises. The adjustable knee fixation keeps you stable during heavy lat pulldown sets. The anti-slip diamond-pattern footplate provides grip in all rowing positions.

The multi-grip pull-up bar offers wide, narrow, and neutral grips for pull-ups and chin-ups. The adjustable dip handles on the columns allow for targeted chest and triceps dips, complemented by knee raises and leg raises for core training. Together, these four functions provide a complete upper body program without leaving the station.

Built Not to Move

The frame consists of dual vertical uprights on the left and right for symmetrical load distribution, with a closed top frame and stiffening bridge for torsional resistance during explosive lifts. The gross weight of 328 kg speaks for itself: this station remains stable, even during the heaviest sets. The industrial black powder coating protects the frame during daily use by multiple athletes.

Frequently Asked Questions

• What is the difference between this station and a regular smith machine?
A standard Smith machine only has the guide bar. This station adds a complete dual cable system, an integrated pec deck, a leg press footplate, a multi-grip pull-up bar, and a dip station — all in one frame. It replaces five to seven separate pieces of equipment.
• Are weight plates included?
The 160 kg weight stacks are integrated selectorized stacks for the cable system. For the Smith machine barbell, you will need separate weight plates. The bar has a diameter of 25 mm (expandable to 50 mm with an adapter).
• Can I expand the weight stacks?
Yes. The weight stacks can be expanded with additional weight plates from PH Fitness, so the station grows with your strength development.
• How much space do I need?
The station covers 120 cm depth and 136 cm width. Additionally, allow for at least 150 cm of free training space at the front for Smith machine exercises and cable work.
• Is assembly included?
The station comes with assembly instructions for self-assembly. Given the gross weight of 328 kg, we strongly recommend assembling with at least two people.
• Is this station suitable for semi-commercial use?
Yes. The construction with dual vertical uprights, 300 kg maximum load, and industrial powder coating makes this station suitable for personal training studios, boutique gyms, and corporate fitness where multiple users use the station daily.
